1/ L’arabité ; notion à géométrie variable
Qu’est-ce que l’identité arabe aujourd’hui ? Cette notion fait-elle encore sens?
Du Maghreb au Moyen-Orient, le positionnement identitaire ne semble pas être le même. La diversité linguistique, la pluralité religieuse et le poids des régions façonnent une mosaïque impressionnante qui se traduit parfois par des conflits mais reste source d’un foisonnement culturel exceptionnel.
2/ Le numérique ; impulseur d’une nouvelle Nahda
La culture arabe à l’ère numérique : Est-ce l’heure d’une renaissance ?
Le numérique semble ainsi reconfigurer le schéma habituel de communication autour d’une nouvelle représentativité artistique – qui est elle-même transformée par cette mutation digitale. L’intérêt porté pour la région, depuis les évènements du –dit- « printemps arabe » a fait prendre conscience de l’existence d’une mouvance culturelle transversale importante.
3 /La ville arabe ; une cité créative
Quelle place pour la culture dans les villes arabes ?
Les métropoles arabes ont cela de particulier qu’elles témoignent d’une prouesse esthétique et d’une forte imagination populaire. A l’architecture et l’artisanat singuliers qui se sont confirmés à travers les siècles, s’ajoute la question de la création artistique. From North Africa (Maghreb) to the Middle East, the notion of identity does not seem to be the same. Linguistic diversity, religious plurality and the weight of regions makes for an extremely interesting mosaic that manifests itself sometimes into conflicts but remains an exceptional source of cultural diversity.

Can digital technology bring about a new “Nahda” ?
The interest in this region throughout the last few years shed light on the existence of an important cross-disciplinary cultural movement, revealed through digital technology. This latter seems to have reconfigured the customary pattern of communication around a new artistic representation.

The role of culture in Arab cities Arab metropolises have the particularity of being witnesses to aesthetic prowess and a strong popular imagination. On the other hand, the question of artistic creation poses itself despite the fact that architecture and the arts and crafts have been an integral part of these ancient cities for centuries. These beautiful cities, sometimes rebellious, put constantly into question the status of the artist and the implication of his/her works in the public space.
